Mars

First images of Mars with my 8" Newt and they turned out quite well.

I don't think the mirrors have been aligned correctly so I hope to get better shots soon.

You can see Mare Sirenum and Mare Cimmerium to the bottom left of the plant. Also note the North Polar Cap to the upper right of the planet.

I'm pretty sure there is a brighter area above the middle of the planet, I'll need to carry out some research to find out what it is.

I think the 3rd image above is my favorite as the colour seems more natural.
