30th December 2006
The weather has been terrible lately, so I haven't had a chance to capture any deep sky objects for a while.
Today the sky was quite clear and i noticed that the moon was gaining height at around 3:30pm in the afternoon so I set-up my 8" Newtonian to take a look.
Even though it was the middle of the afternoon the image was very clear but I could still see a lot of atmospheric turbulence.
These are some of the images I managed to capture with the toucam pro 2.

The Alpine Valley
Plato
The image below of Plato shows that I have just managed to capture one of the small craters within. If you move the mouse over the image the lines will appear detailing the location of the crater.
