NGC7000 - The North American Nebula

22nd August 2007

1hour 15mins @ ISO800

21st November 2006

This is a reprocess of the below image and i'm very happy with the result.

A lot more detail in this shot of 14 x 60 seconds. The mount was tracking very well so i could take exposures of around 60 seconds with not too much star trailing.

The image above is one 107 second exposure taken on 24th October 2005.

The image above was my first try at this amazing nebula. I have never been able to see it through the scope, but with the Canon 350D i have managed to capture a section of the nebula.

This was only one image of 30 seconds with a full moon drowning out details.

This was also my first shot with a Light Pollution filter. Without the filter attached to the camera i could not capture the nebula at all.

If you move your mouse over the image above it will show some objects in this region.

I hope when i stack more shots i should be able to capture better detail.
